The Oxford English dictionary defined art as The conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colours, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty, specifically the production of the beautiful in a graphic or plastic medium.
On this note, I introduce to you the followers of D9ty7stories, krisartgallery. A platform owned by a young Nigerian who over the years I have watched grow from being the naive little boy in secondary school to a smart, intelligent young chap who is able to express and give life through his artistic work.
He is a writer too.
Below are some of his works;
This earned him a Photograph with Folklore singer; Beautiful Nubia
He titled this; THE NIGERIAN CIVIL SERVICE
And accompanied it with the write-ups below;
This has been the most tasking drawing I’ve ever made. If words can efficiently communicate my feeling, I wouldn’t have employed an art. It’s an expression of a situation that has once driven me to tears. It’s about the Nigerian civil service.
Why should burglary be regarded to, as being a crime, if a civil servant would be owed a 7 month salary?
Doesn’t he have to cater for himself, and possibly, some other dependants he’s responsible for?
What then shall we say about a couple working under the civil service sector of a country?
Shouldn’t there be a clemency shown on them, if at all there would a delay in salary payments?
What are the essences of a civil servant’s job appointment, if he has no certainty of enjoying his entitlements?
The above are the questions I ask my self in soliloquy, when I come think of how devastating the state of the Nigerian civil service is. I have no answers to them. No one does, I think.
He works in pains and stress, getting untimely tokens as his monthly reward. He bows out of job, with no assurance of enjoying his retirement benefits as supposed. Somebody, come to his aid. He needs some consideration!! The
Nigerian civil servant!!
